STLFD - Chapter 14Across the Sea
A few more weeks of flying left Siria exhausted. They were at the sea shore right now. The water lapped the beach softly and the cry of seagulls drifted from overhead. Siria looked around the beach. There were no signs of humans. A few crabs crawled over the white sand and an occasional fish could be seen in the turquoise water. Siria looks at Scar. "What now?" she asks. He shrugs. "I'll get some food, I guess. Then we'll take off tomorrow." With that he took off and sped away. Siria slowly fell into the sand. A little nap wouldn't hurt. She slowly drifted off to sleep.
When she woke up everyone was by a campfire. She stood up and walked over. "What's for dinner?" She asked. "A few snakes and some geckos. Nothing much." Scar dragged an iguana from beside him and put it in front of her. "Eat up" he said and then he went back to eating his own lizard. Siria sat down and took a bite of her meal. Tomorrow was going to be a very long day.
The next day the humans had climbed u
STLFD - Chapter 13Mioloon's lair
They flew for days and days on end. Scar knew where The Dragon of Wisdom's cave lies. He said it is around the Appalachian Mountains as Sarah calls it. They had to fly all the way from Florida, as Ben calls it, to Pennsylvania. Ben and Sarah got used to their flying schedule and eventually pointed out things on the ground for the dragons to see. Once there was a huge forest fire set by humans to clear forest. As much as Scar wanted to, he couldn't go down and take the fire away. Siria managed to use her ice to dowse it though. The children's drinking problem was solved by Drack's ability to change into a small water dragon and create water using magic.
Finally after a week and a half they were landing on Mioloon's cave ledge. "Welcome dear friends. I have been waiting for you." Said a cool voice from inside the cave. They walked in and saw that the cave was lit by many floating magic candles. In the main cavern sat a beautiful magic dragon. Her scales were bright purple,
STLFD - Chapter 12The Great Escape
At 7:00 that night Scar rushed out of the artificial cave. He had heard a long wine that meant most likely a gate of some sort was opening. Remembering what Siria said it must be the breeding gate. He rushed to the sound to see Siria slipping under a gate. She slowly nodded then sniffed. She leaned closer to him and whispered sharp and clear, "The humans are within seeing range. Now!" Scar quickly spread his wings and flew up with Siria close on his tail. She nodded again as if to say, Get ready!!
She flew above him the swiped at him, purposely missing. Scar fell a few feet as if he got hit. He soon recovered and pretended to ram Siria. She fell also. Scar now took his tail and swiped with it so fast the wind whistled around it. He missed by inches and Siria gave him a meaningful look. Her sharp tail with its ice like appearance hit Scar's foot. It didn't hurt because she used the bottom of her tail and hit him lightly. To add to the effect Scar howled in pain, trying
STLFD - Chapter 11Drack
"Psst! Hey, dragon! PSST! HEY!" Whispered a voice from seemingly nowhere. Scar woke with a start to see a Dwarf Green Dragon sitting on his stomach. "WAAAAH!" Scar stood up rapidly, causing the poor dragon to fly off and hit the cave wall. "Ooof" The dragon mumbled as rubbed its head. "Oh my aching head!" Scar lay down on his stomach and leveled his eyes to the little dragon. "Sorry, you scared me. What are you doing here anyways?" The little creature stood up and shook itself off. "Hi, my name is Drack, I'm a Morph Dragon. I'm also the park's informer dragon." Scar sat on his haunches and gazed down at Drack. "Morph Dragon? You look like any old Dwarf Green Dragon to me." The dragon clapped his hand to his head. "All right, if you don't believe me watch this" With that he started to get bigger and his colors changed from light green and yellow to dark green and gold. His horns straightened out then curled at the edge. Then on his hip he started to form the mark of a Morph Dragon
STLFD - Chapter 10Captured
The next morning around eleven, Scar woke up. With what seemed a lot of effort he opened his to find he was in a lead bar cage. He struggled to recall what happened yesterday. That's it! He was by the lake getting a drink when POW! He was captured. The dragon yawned and looked around his cage. It was pretty small. He could barely turn around in it. Groggily, Scar looked out his cage trying to spot his companions. On a big wooden thing next to him sat Siria's cage. All off a sudden Scar noticed he was on a big thing with circles on it to! Ben and Sarah had told Scar what these were called. They are wagons! Where were the humans taking them? Wait! Ben and Sarah the humans who saved him! Where were they? He whipped his head from left to right in panic. "Where are they?" He wondered out loud.
After an hour he finally noticed that the children were tied back to back on another wagon. They were slouched down before so he couldn't see them. "Psst! Ben Sarah, Hey! Psst!" Scar whispere
STLFD - Chapter 9Humans
Later, when everyone was ready and humans in place, Scar and Siria took off into the early afternoon sky. The sun blazed down on the humans making them sweat like there's no tomorrow. Since Scar and Siria are dragons they barely need to worry about overheating. Their scales reflect sunlight, making them cooler and loose less water. "Scar, do you have any water? Humans have to drink every day unlike dragons." Sarah looks at the ground below, gets extremely dizzy, and slouches back into position on the Fire Dragons back. Ben must have heard her for he was nodding too. "Nothing but my spit. I think I see water up ahead anyways. I'm a bit thirsty, too" The dragons speed up and reached the lake which Scar had spotted twice as fast. They circled the watering hole and landed on the edge.
The humans ran
STLFD - Chapter 8The Dream
That night Scar dreamed. It was not like the normal dreams he always has but somehow... different. He was sitting in a field with another dragon. It was not a normal dragon but it was an extremely old one. It was black with a blue under belly that reminded Scar of a bruise. He had horns that grew forward and he was huge. The dragon had red claws, orange horns, and a yellow spiky tail spade. His intelligent eyes were a golden brown and his spines were also golden. "Come to me, Scar" The dragon walked slowly towards him but in a friendly way. "H-h-how do you know my name?" Scar back up a step and stared at the huge dragon in fear.
"I am the Spirit Dragon Cyberus. I come here to guide you on your quest, not harm you." Cyberus took another step forward and sat. "Come dear dragon I must tell you what I am doing here in your dreams and why." Scar slowly walked forward, stopped 3 horn-lengths from him, and sat. "As I said I am Cyberus the Spirit Dragon. I am a special dra
STLFD - Chapter 7No matter how hard Scar flapped his wings he couldn't keep up with Siria. Eventually she became tired of winning by a Wing-length and matched Scar's normal travel speed. After a while Scar told the humans of how he and Siria met. Scar and his father were out on a hunting trip when they, after a long while, came to a clearing. All of a sudden Siria burst from the bushes with teeth bared. Scars father jumped up until he noticed what Siria was. She apologized about being so aggressive and then decided to make it up for them by getting some bulls from the local area for them to bring home. Scar constantly went out to meet Siria and after a while they became good friends. They've helped each other out since then and then they became separated. They never saw each other again until this day.
After hours of flying non-stop the dragons decided that they should rest. They found a small alcove in a mountainside and decided to rest there. Scar banked and slowly spiraled down to the ground as Sara
STLFD - Chapter 6Getting Ready
When Scar returned, the fire had reduced to ashes and the sun brushed the horizon. He had thought about the journey that was his destiny, and how it now lay out before him like a never-ending trail. The dragon walked into the little room that Siria had carved out herself for guests. Not to his surprise he found both humans still awake.
Ben looked up from his stick he had been shredding. Scar had peered into the room where they were. "I figured you'd be awake." he said as he stepped inside. "We've been thinking about the journey we have to take. The only small problem we found is how to get where Savador's dwelling. He is said to live on top of the highest cloud in the sky." Sarah explained. "You'll have to ride on my back, I guess." Scar told them, annoyed. "What? We'd die!! The flames on your back will toast us as if we're mere bugs!! They're like 2,000 degrees!" protests Ben. "You though my flames would kill you? Oh, come on!! My flames only burn when I tell them to. I
